Located only 45 kilometres South of Adelaide, South Australia, Fox Creek is very close to the sea and in the heart of a beautiful fertile valley known as McLaren Vale.

The Fox Creek Vineyards, winery and nineteenth century stone Cellar Door cottage are found between the villages of McLaren Vale and Willunga and are surrounded by beautiful grounds with a lake, water birds, ancient large eucalypt and olive trees adjacent to the bridge which crosses 'Fox Creek' on the way to the historic cottage.

Fox Creek Cellar Door hosts art exhibitions every two months and is part of the Fleurieu Peninsula Arts Trail[2.6 mb PDF file]. The Cellar Door grounds are scattered with Robin Turner's sculptural works including the barrel bi plane which is available for children to play in. Robin's legendary foxy noworrybeads key rings and some other surprises are also for sale at Cellar Door. Visit Robin's website.

The Cellar Door is open for tastings between 10am and 5pm seven days a week(except for Christmas Day).

The valley extends from the hills in the East to the coast of St Vincents Gulf in the West. The maritime breezes reduce the average temperature of the valley to below that of the Adelaide plains to the North.

For the visitor there is plenty of accommodation, many restaurants, long stretches of uncrowded beaches and many places to explore on the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula and Kangaroo Island.
