A wine to be enjoyed with food. Both the nose and palate have a blackberry character. There is a sweet middle palate and the soft savoury aromatic character of the Grenache is obvious at the finish.
Vintages:
appearance
Deep red with a vibrant plum rim.
bouquet
Lifted rich aromas of blueberry and blackberry with dark cherry and vanillin spice from subtle oak maturation.
palate
A generous soft and rich entry of complex berry fruits leading to a full, spicy palate of dark berries, a soft tannin structure with excellent length of flavour.
winemaking
Shiraz components were harvested from 14° Baumé and fermented on skins for 7 days and pressed to 2-year-old French and American oak for maturation. The Grenache was picked at 14.5° Baumé and pressed after 6 days on skins, with maturation in 4-year-old American oak. The composition of the wine is Shiraz 65% and Grenache 35%.
