30 August 2007
Fox Creek’s Red Baron Shiraz 2006 was awarded top marks by Australia's oldest wine publication, Winestate in the July/August 2007 edition.
The review reads "Meaty, prune-like aromas with a dash of sweet, earthy raspberry fruit nuances. Wonderful varietal fruit on a palate layered with savoury complexity. An elegant and balanced wine for the cellar. 5+"
The positive result now qualifies Red Baron Shiraz 2006 entry into Winestate Magazine's 'Wine of the Year Awards'. Only 5 and 4.5 star wines previously judged in Winestate during 2007 are eligible for consideration.
Winestate Magazine will determine the winner of the Award from more than 8000 wines tasted from Australia and New Zealand throughout 2007.
